what is the importance of the prop in your photograph?
It has been our privilege to travel to Africa on short-term mission trips over the years. We currently are blessed to be a part of a young men’s home and an orphanage in Liberia, West Africa. The wood carving was given to us to represent the friendship between people groups. The African drum and shirt are special memorabilia from the times we have spent in Africa.

when you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I enjoyed playing sports, so being a baseball player was on the top of the list with being an architect a close second

Architecture essentially is problem-solving, so I like to help people solve their design problems and see them come to fruition
